Not only can you walk around with beer at Osheaga in Montreal, they have beer vendors who walk around the crowd in the pit........ wait a minute, Quebec doesn't count as Canada. |
|
True, I have even been to Osheaga and I forgot that. The liquor laws are so different in Quebec. Damn how I miss those beer guys roaming the crowd between shows. The cute Jager shot girls were also pretty cool. |

| These guys just announced dates for the this year and they are going the full 9 yards this year and making it a 3 day festival. Aug 24, 25 and 26. My poor, poor liver. |

| Oh I really hope I can make it work this year. I also want to check out Rifflandia if possible. |

| Any word if they are expanding camping or not? |

| No word on the camping, but if you are on the ball it shouldnt be hard to get a spot. I might ask on the facebutt, they are great at answering questions on there. |

| I really want to go to this this year! About what time did tickets go on sale last year? |
| Posted by davers on Feb 2, 2012, 12:34pm |
Not sure exactly, but my friend was in Australia at the time so I will say around April. They anounced the headliners and subs and then tickets were $109, going up to $149 or something closer to the festival. That was only 2 days though, so expect it to be around $159 for earlybird this year.
As for the camping, I asked on facebook and they said they were working on it and would have an update in a few weeks. |

| Lineup release party for this is April 4th at the Commodore Ballroom. Current Swell and The Matinee are playing the show. Tickets are 10 bucks but you get $20 off tickets to Live at Squamish. There is a presale code but I have yet to Dr. Garbanzoure it out. It probably won't matter much anyway because I doubt an event that had 10K attendees per day will sell out a 1000 person venue for the lineup release, but who knows. I'll post the presale code here if I get it. |

| I saw that. Wish I could go, I absolutely love current swell. |

Apparently the password is Squamish.
They thought really hard about that one. |

| Wow. That's even worse than the password "Doolittle" for the presale for the Pixies' Doolittle tour tickets. |

Pretty underwhelming lineup. http://liveatsquamish.com/lineup
Tragically Hip, City and Colour (his popularity continues to astound me), Chromeo, Sheepdogs, Mother Mother, Lights, Wintersleep, The RAA, Beats Antique, Airborn Toxic Event.
Early tickets are only $129 which is pretty solid for a 3 day festival. I'll still be there, but I was hoping for more. |

I might end up going. I plan on doing a camping road trip with a friend this summer and this would be a good final destination
Plus I love current swell live. |

| Ew, Tragically Hip. Eh, there's a couple bands on there I would like to see but I don't know if I'm going to go. It's pretty pricey once you factor in camping and I'm probably still going to be paying off Osheaga at that point. |
