Bassnectar is playing on my campus in September! Now I just need to decide if I buy my ticket now or wait for people to be selling them the couple days before.

I can't hear myself talk. It's awesome. I left a little early because I was in dire need of water and once I got it I really didn't feel like going back into the crowd for some reason. I stood around for a bit, but it wasn't the same, so I just went home. I also didn't eat much today so I could spend less on booze.. so I'm starving. I will write a review in the morning. My brain hurts too much right now

Ok here we go.. I'm typing on my phone, so excuse my grammar and whatever.

I'm soooo sore. Like I haven't been this sore from a show ever. Everything hurts and one if my knees is royally fucked up. It was all very worth it though. The first two dj's were local, and were pretty good. I spent most of their sets drinking so I could forget how bad of a dancer I am. Mt. Eden was awesome, after I finished drinking I worked my way up to the front where I found my saviour for the night. They had this huge industrial fan on the stage and I'm fairly positive that's why I survived. Feed Me was fucking insane.. I've never heard anything like it before. He even did a Robin remix that was the highlight of my night. I've never heard anything so crazy loud in my life. Everything was vibrating and at some points it actually hurt it was so loud. Excision has the dirtiest drops and it was a total party in there. Everyone was dancing like an idiot and it was just nuts. I'm so addicted to this music now. You've all created a monster. You guys are going to have a blast tonight. Feed Me is awesome. Totally serious dude though.. He takes his WOMP seriously.

Oh! I also wanted to say that the light show suuuuuccckkkeeedddddd. All they had was the house lights plus 6 wimpy little strobes. Boring. Good thing I dance with my eyes closed most of the time. I have no idea why.

Hopefully you guys get a better light show than I did!

We won't. Celebrities is the premiere gay club in the city, so we'll get whatever they've got. There isn't exactly room for anything else there.

Yes you read correctly. Some of the best EDM shows happen at the biggest gay bar in the city.

Ya, the place is actually pretty awesome. The whole bar shakes when there are a ton of people dancing.

Oh, the van show is at Celebrities? Of all the gay bars in Vancouver, that's the one I least often set foot in as it's not generally my kind of crowd. I'm sure it'd be fun to see a show there though.

Calgary's light show at Basscannon was above average for a DJ thing, although there were 2 stages and 12 DJs so they did put in more of an effort.

Ugh I should have come to Basscannon! Sounds like it was fun. I'm glad I went to this one though! Next show I will bring more glowy things
