I was going to do this list untili you started throwing curveballs like NIN, Massive Attack and KMFDM into the picture. Now I'm not even going to attempt to try it.

Well 'electronic music' is pretty broad and I did that for a reason. A list of the top 10 trance DJs of all time isn't nearly as interesting.

This is a quick top 10. There are many newer artists I like more at the moment, but adding them to an all time top ten would probably be jumping the gun.

1. Trent Reznor (NIN, Other Projects)
2. Paul Van Dyk
3. Above & Beyond (Oceanlab, Other Projects)
4. Armin van Buuren
5. Richard D. James (Aphex Twin, Other Projects)
6. Moby
7. The Crystal Method
8. Daft Punk
9. Deadmau5
10. Bjorrito

Totally untrue. There are at least 8 buttons he can choose from, not just 4.

The initial lineup for Resolution NYE in Seattle was announced today. The funny thing is the best artist from that list "W&W" has already been on the POPNYE lineup for months.

Doctor P, Mord Fustang, Rusko, W&W

God I hope to see Boys Noize back at either Coachella or Sasquatch this coming year. He just gets better and better. This video is pretty damn insane...

Foundation really has some good djs coming through so far. It kind of sucks they usually announce them a few weeks or less before they play. Makes planning a trip from this far a little more difficult.

Yea I really want to catch a set there soon. I'm not a fan of these Thursday night shows though that they seem to be making a pattern of. Kind of lame.

In other news, Ultra Music Festival has this to say:

Quote:
On Monday October 15, we will announce something so big, so crazy, so intense that it will knock you off your seats and leave you thinking "WTF"! We're gearing up to make global EDM history, and do something that NO electronic music festival has EVER done.

All will be revealed in an exclusive video, released here on Monday.

Start guessing and Stay Connected...

Is it just me, or is anyone else getting sick of these festivals that keep trying to do outdo every other festival with the craaaaziest fucking new thing ever? I have hard time believing they're going to really make me think "WTF!"

I have not paid that much attention to the Thursday night shows, but I know Christopher Lawrence, ATB, and Tritonal have all been through there so far. With Sasha and PvD coming soon. Pretty good run considering they just opened.

There are a bunch of rumors going around about Ultra. 2 weekends like Coachella. Daftpunk. New venue. Blah Blah. I doubt it will be that mind blowing for the hype they are trying to build. That is a long ways to go at that time of the year anyway. I am considering EDC though. Good timing. Vegas trips from Missoula are cheap on Allegiant. I just want to be able to experience a stage like ASOT or Group Therapy. That shit just doesn't seem like it's going to happen in the northwest.

ATB played Foundation?? Daaaang. Don't know how I missed that.

The big announcement. 2 weekends.

That is so big and crazy and intense, it knocked me off my seat and I was left thinking, "WTF?" No one has EVER done two weekends before?!?!?!

Obviously I don't care about Ultra, but even I think that was a shitty thing to pull.
