Pretty Lights at the Cuthbert in Eugene last Thursday was.....just....perfect. Especially after having a TERRIBLE summer, I needed a night like that to just let go of everything and dance my face off. I had all my best friends from WA, plus all my Sasquatch/Oregon friends there with me. A crew of 20+ going absolutely batshit insane. So much fun.

Cy, I thought all of his new material he played was equal if not better than any of his previously recorded stuff. Those 5-6 new tracks he played were simply beautiful. Yeah sure they aren't heavy electro bangers like high school art class or total fascination, but they are put together in a way that flows beautifully. I simply can't wait for his new album to come out. I need it now.

Also, his light show is even crazier now then before. I thought I was going to go blind at one point. Made Ghostland's lasers look like clip-art on windows XP.

In other EDM news, SnowGlobe's lineup is released tomorrow. I already have my tickets and I'm hoping for a lineup that is at least on par with their lineup from last year. If the lineup sucks I'm going to sell my ticket and go to Beats Antique at the Paramount Theater in Seattle on NYE instead.

I've been watching for the SnowGlobe lineup, but I have also been watching for the Lights All Night lineup in Dallas. I'm more interested in Lights All Night. With over $700 in Southwest vouchers and a deal from hotels.com I can get down there for a decent price. Not too much more than SnowGlobe would cost. USC has a NYE show too. I have a sneaking suspicion Bassnectar might be involved. He is skipping Seattle this Fall. I heard he might be playing a handful of shows around NYE including Lights All Night. Then there is POPNYE in Oakland which has a killer trance lineup. I will most likely jump on tickets to that if the other NYE fests end up having subpar lineups.

If bassnectar has his nye show in Seattle I will explode. It would make sense too cause he skipped seattle this fall

This is looking pretty good so far.

Gross. Wiz being there alone makes me not want to go anymore. I'll sell ya my 2 tickets for $130 a pop. Thats 25+ fees cheaper than what tickets are now.

It's going to be a completely different crowd and vibe from last year. The middle acts are pretty damn good this year, but the mau5 and wiz are going to bring a crowd that I'm completely over being around. I just don't understand how they went from Bassnectar/PL/The Glitch Mob to Deadmau5(unhooked)/Wiz/Chromeo. Complete opposites!

Yeah, after really looking at that lineup Deadmau5, Chris Lake, and maybe Madeon would be the only ones I would go out of my way to see.

This is how I've always imagined sex would be with that Snooki broad from the TV! Kids these days, I tells ya!

Phase 1 of the LAN lineup looks good. Definitely better than SnowGlobe.

No! I think it was Stamper

Drew's just covering up his rampant baby-kicking.
