DONT APOLOGIZE FOR ANYTHING.

You like what you like, who cares if people think it's lame. I have many guilty pleasure songs... that's probably why I like Girl Talk so much. He plays all my guilty pleasure songs.

Then, at his shows, people tell KY that I am dancing too much.

Full agreement. We all deserve guilty pleasures and we all deserve to genuinely like something that others might not "get" in the same way without judgement.

And that dancing thing was such bullshit -- those people will end up living unsatisfying lives that are most likely filled with regrets if they can't understand why someone might want to let loose at a Girl Talk show. No one should have to censor or hold back on their dances moves when you're at a dance party; they needed to get over themselves. That's why I moved away from them the second they made that comment.

First time I've heard one of Lil Jon's electro tracks.

I just imagined him being a dude standing there with his arms crossed thinking to himself how much cooler he is than everyone else in the room.

I was also unaware anything I was doing could be considered a 'dance move' in any way, shape or form. I think of what I do as a mild seizure while jumping up and down.

Were you guys in the pit? I didn't see a single fucker not dancing down there for GT.

Eh, that's pretty much most people's "dance move" at concerts.

We're talking the show we just saw in Vancouver a week ago. There were a couple misguided souls who somehow managed to stand still during that madness.

No, this was at his show here in Vancouver a week ago. It was at the Commodore which is one of the better venues in town. It's essentially a big ballroom dance floor with a stage at one end and a balcony on the opposite end and tiered levels on the sides with bars. Everyone was dancing like crazy all over the whole place except for this couple who were right close to the front where we were and chose to complain about Davers instead of joining in on all the fun.

That's crazy. Lighten up.

My group of friends and I were told we were singing too loud during "Hey Jude" when we saw McCartney. DUDE IT'S FUCKING HEY JUDE.

I used to be uptight at concerts, getting pissed off when people pushed me or stepped on my feet or were dancing annoyingly, when I was a teenager, but after a while I realized I was spending more energy on policing all the people around me than enjoying the show. Now I just let it flow over me.

Obviously there are some egregious things, like getting puked on, or ubiquitous CELL PHONE USE, that just isn't tolerable, in which case I'm happy to revert to uptight Drew for a moment.

I wouldn't fuck with the guy who is 8 feet tall and kicks babies. That was you who kicked the baby right?

It always amazes me that somebody can be front in center in a crowd of hundred or thousands of people in a tight space, and still act like they should have a bubble around them. It's like, “dude just think about this for a minute”. I started out going to metal and punk shows, so getting pooped into, pushed, etc never really bothered me. As long as they are doing it with the music, and not pushing people around to be dicks, because they are ignorant like the people we are talking about.
