What could have given it away?

Also did anyone notice the very clear theme?

Also Chaco: did the disk actually play/fit in your computer. It worked in my mac, but the loonie definitely made it thicker which made me worried, But you scored a free 2 GB Safeway usb stick because of that!

I haven't put it in my car yet, but just like you said- it went into my Macbook fine. When I first opened it I was a little confused that I got both, but hey, I'm not complaining...

I don't know all the artists, but yes, between the ones I do know and the name of the compilation I think it is very clear indeed.

Yeah, I only included the USB in case the CD was not functional. It would suck to get the mix and not be able to hear it.

Also, I sent this on Thursday evening. I'm very surprised Canada Post got it there so quickly.

EDIT: If the name of the mix, and some of the artists didn't give away the theme, I thought for sure the giant loonie would do the trick.

That Black Mountain song was a sweet one to pick...not to mention "All Hell For a Basement"! Great guitar work on that chune for sure.

I was reluctant to put a Big Sugar song on there, but i'll be god damned if that song isn't great. Also the Constantines are one of my favorites, terribly underrated band in my opinion.

Fuck that. Back when they were in the spotlight, I wasn't that into them. Then this year I felt like getting nostalgic and went back through their chunes thinking "Man these guys are rad. Why aren't they still around?"

When I was putting the mix together I wikipedia'd every artist. Their page said a new album in 2011. But I know what you mean, that happens to me lots; looking back on certain things brings back a sort of nostalgia for it. Although I always loved "all hell for a basement"
