I turned on the Phish live stream when they started, immediately lost interest, and turned it off. Turned it back on 2 hours later, and texted Fox, "98% sure Phish is still playing the same song they were playing 2 hours ago."
1.Phish 2.Battles 3.Radiohead 4.Ben Folds 5 5. Mogwai 6. Umphree's McGee 7. St Vincent 8. Rodrigo y Gabriella 9. Little Dragon (def woulda been higher if I hadn't missed the first 3/4 of the show) 10. Bon Iver
I also really dug Pelican but we only saw their first jam.
So when everyone calls it a 'glowstick war', are there sides and stuff, or is it just another word for Glowpocalypse?
I was thinking that for next years Sasquatch if the glowstick act is a Bigfoot late night set it would be interesting to organize roughly half the people on one side of the barrier and half on the other and then literally throw the glowsticks at the other side instead of just randomly into the crowd. Thoughts?
At Bonnaroo they called it a glowstick war and I guess it was supposed to be left half of the crowd vs right side of the crowd but after the first couple tosses it just looked like a glowpocalypse.
I am fully aware there is no possible way of organizing this, but if one side threw all their glowsticks at the other side on the 1st drop, and then the other side threw them back on the 2nd drop (and so on), it would be pretty rad.
I know this won't happen, I'm just musing cool things to do with glowsticks.
I've seen them too many times to discuss without pissing people off, but I will say that every show has been better than the one before it, meaning that when you see them it will be their best show ever. And I will be there to high-5 you. I just want to high-5 everyone within a 10 mile radius after I see Battles.
