| Everything I've ever heard from Phish sounds exactly like South Park's parody of them. I would be pissed if they were my only option for 4 hours. |

The same could be said about a symphony or a jazz ensemble (heyo!). I just straight up can't get into jam bands. |

Not the same at all. In fact there were a lot of Phish fans who did not like the Grateful Dead and hated the Deadheads.
But I see what you are saying, they are a jam band.
