John K. Samson - Provincial

For you Weakerthans fans, John K. Samson is the singer/songwriter of the band and that's his new solo album. If you like them, or are just a fan of laid-back indie rock I'd recommend it.

iPetitions and Longitudinal Centre are easily my favs on the record

I kinda didn't wish I didn't buy it after all. Too much filler. The good tracks are really good though.

Would y'all hate me if I told you I left The Cure's show in 2008 to eat popcorn with Wayne Coyne? Would you like me again if I told you I'm listening to Disintegration right now at the suggestion of this board and regretting that decision? This shit is awesome, thanks guys. I'm officially on The Cure for Sasquatch 2012 bandwagon.

Reading this also aroused my curiosity: "Robert Smith felt an increased pressure to follow up on the group's pop successes with a more enduring work. This, coupled with a distaste for the group's new-found popularity, caused Smith to lapse back into the use of hallucinogenic drugs, the effects of which had a strong influence on the production of the album."

What'd I do now?

And yeah dude, Disintegration is timeless shit. I always kinda liked Wish better, and Wild Mood Swings is my sentimental favorite, but Disintegration is stupid good.

Yeah I guess, and that would probably never happen. No offence to all the EDM lovers, but a late night Dan Deacon show at Sasquatch would be better than basically anything EDM has to offer, IMO.

TROOF*

*I've never actually seen him, but I've seen videos and would have to assume this is true.

Seeing Dan Deacon was easily the most fun I've ever had in my entire life.

Seconded. That was a truly unique experience that I shared very closely with a few hundred of my peers. I am very curious to see another show because I cannot imaging anything being like the time we saw him.

Word. Dan Deacon was one of the strangest and craziest experiences of my life. I literally knew nothing about the guy and had no idea what to expect and he completely blew my mind.

Haha, you guys will like this, but the only reason I saw him was because he was on right before Deadmau5 and I was getting there early to get a good spot. I'm SOFA KING glad I did.
