I don't agree with s/t being a billion times better than Major. Both of those albums are solid top to bottom though. "Sideswiper" is my favorite song of theirs. Did you guys see Zechs Marquise at that Crocodile show? Fucking wicked.

I mean, don't get me wrong, I fucking love Major. But S/T is an album that I play front to back on a regular basis, and I have since its release. On the other hand, every now and then I listen to Major, but more often I just skip to "Chompers" and rock my face off.
"Sideswiper" is also my favorite. Not sure if it's because it's the most epic track they've ever done, or because there's at least 5 genres of rock music that the song goes through before it finishes.

Drastically under-appreciated; my go-to Residents chillout album. Their first of a couple takes on the concept of the greatest hits comp, Our Finest Flowers saw the Residents take material from the first twenty-five years of their career, mash them up into a big ball, and then pull them apart. Each song takes the lyrics from one song, the vocal melody from another, the instrumental melody from a third, the drum part from somewhere else, and combines them all into one entirely new, entirely unique composition.
Even the most comprehensive Residents fans are still puzzling out what some of the pieces are, so you know they got it right. A perfect and beautiful record.
