We Were Promised Jetpacks is an anthemic post-punk-indie-rock (that's for you, wonk) band from Scotland.

If you liked those tracks at all and have 8 minutes to spare, this song is fucking gorgeous and powerful as fuck. The first time I saw them they opened their set with it and the entire audience just stood their with their jaws on the floor.

Around 2:40 in this track the song slows down big time and eventually a piano comes in and plays a simple melody in the background that just absolutely grabs me every single time I hear it. I'm a total geek for this band.

Sweet! Thanks, man. I'm on my phone right now but will check 'em out as soon as possible.

Wonk, I wanted to say 'Thursday' but it didn't really communicate the whole ridiculous name thing so I picked Boy Hits Car, who I used to really like, because that is also a very silly name. I really can't for the life in me remember what they actually sound like. I know that I bought their album and Mudvayne's first album on the same day. I remember what Mudvayne sounds like.

I'll check them out when I'm in a post-internet mood.

I've never listened to Electra 2000. Any good?

Much heavier. Definitely a different sound. Somtimes not even recognizable.

Thanks. Going to have to check it out.
