I thought the Zola Jesus album was pretty solid. I haven't listened to that Youth Lagoon album but I would expect them to be at Sasquatch next year cause they're from boise

I don't know if he has a live setup, but if he makes one I'll be sure to avoid his 1pm yeti set.

The new Radiohead remix album is streaming across the internet, but the sites I see that have it don't seem to be working. I think Soundcloud is down.

I just got a package from Amazon. It contained Primus - Green Naughtyhyde, Opeth - Heritage, and Mastodon - The Hunter. Bastards didn't send me the order until The Hunter was released. Been waiting a few weeks.

Man was I ever crazy for Korn's first album back in grade 5. I remember I had to make this elaborate ploy form into action in order to get the album cuz it had the swear sticker on it which was looked upon in the same way as bringing the devil himself into our home. Basically, I porpoisely destroyed my gym shoes with my dad's vice and claw hammer and convinced my parents that an urgent trip into the city was needed so I wouldn't miss out on gym class (you know how it is for Korn kids and their gym) anyways, I borrowed 20 bucks from my cousin and once I was certain my dad was busy in Footlocker I pretended I needed to all of a suddenly pee. I then went alone to HMV and bought the CD! My hands were shaking so much I could hardly stuff it into my jacket. I Went back to my family in Footlocker and probably remained unusually concerned about my jacket and keeping it on me at all times for the rest of the night.

This is pretty much the way it went down for for the next 5 years with buying CD's. Deception, stress, anxiety, followed by further stress and anxiety of needing to remember every cuss word and beinging at arms length of the volume knob to turn it down then up again over each cuss word. Normal stuff.

My favorite one is when I first heard "Smells Like Teen Spirit" and was still a little scared and intimidated by "bad" music myself so I went out and bought Weird Al's Greatest Hits instead and rocked out safely to "Smells Like Nirvana" on an endless loop. Good move in the long run.

Samesies for me with Korn as well, with whatever album it was they had with "A.D.I.D.A.S." (I think the album was called Life is Peachy?)

This is probably the best stuff Metallica has ever done.

Lumpy, I love you but please never say something like this again.

Sorry, dude. That was more tongue-in-cheek than anything. But I do like the Loutallica stuff better than anything by Metallica that I've actually heard though. I just know 'dem radio hits. (And I hate Lars Ulrich.)

U2 tribute album. What caught my attention was the NIN cover of Zoo Station.

New Black Keys album "El Camino" out December 6th.

They are totally headlining Sasquatch next year.

The idea of the Black Keys headlining any semi-major festival makes me want to vomit.

In other news, the new Girls album is starting to click with me. There are still a few tracks on it that sound ridiculously out of place and unnecessary, but overall it's a really nice album with some gorgeous stuff on it.

Not cool, but pretty much a solid guarantee.

The only saving grace is that Danger Mouse is producing the album, so hopefully they go back to the sound of Attack & Release, which is actually a pretty great album.

Danger Mouse is entering the phase of his career that Dave Fridmann was in when he started producing shit like Phantom Planet albums. His ideas, although pretty damn interesting, are also pretty damn limited, and he has the option of either laying that truth bare by using the exact same studio tricks on every record he touches or just sitting in the studio doing basically nothing except making sure all the tracks are balanced.

If Danger Mouse couldn't make a mediocre Beck album sound interesting, I don't have much hope for a fucking Black Keys album.

I just discovered The Whip, which is an electro-pop band out of the UK, and their new album "Wired Together" is easily my favorite dance album of 2011. No North American release date yet, but it can be found on the intarwebs and whatnot. Fans of Cut Copy, Monarchy, The Presets, Empire of the Sun, and Friendly Fires DEFINITELY need to look into these guys. Some of the best dance jams I've heard in a long time...

This seems like an oddly strong response... I mean, I can see people not liking this band but I've never known someone to hate them. WHAT'S WRONG, PEA?
