'Ditto' is acceptable when its use implies that your favorite record is 'Dark Side of the Moon' because it is a scientific fact that it is the most perfect 43 minutes of recorded music known to man.

I've seen the first 43 minutes of Wizard of Oz at least 30 times. If you don't know, you'd better axe somebody.

And what's the verdict on how it matches up? (You're the first person I know who's actually tried this.)

The rumors are most definitely true. The Dark Side of Oz and Laser Floyd are the two best things ever.

Dude yeah, if you get it just right it's spooky as shit. Watching the Lollipop Guild do their little kickstep to 'Us and Them' is the stuff of nightmares. And the way 'Money' begins right as she opens the door and we see Oz for the first time? Pink Floyd swears it's a coincidence, but that is bullshit.

"The Great Gig in the Sky" starts just as the tornado approaches, too. Might be my favorite Floyd song in part to this.

Also, just saw the pictures of the Roger Waters Wall tour, it's totally just like the film, in theatre format.

While I agree the correlations were amazing, I still think it was a coincidence. We started the album at different intervals, up to 15 seconds apart each direction, and some thing matched up perfectly with a different interval, but others memorable moments were way off depending on the interval.

Money starting right when the film goes to color was always a trip. My favorite parts where when the lyrics were singing about the Lunatic, right when the Scarecrow is acting like a mad man, and the lyric "Round and Round...And Round," which at one point matched perfectly with the close up of Dorothy spinning her shinny red shoes around, and around.

We didn't have cable in college, and owned two movies, so we did this often. One time, the cd changer moved to the next album while we continued watching the movie (since everyone was too enthralled to move). We swore that album (which I don't recall) matched up with the next 45 minutes of the film perfectly as well. That is why I believe it is a coincidence. You can play any stoner album with any sci-fi film or childrens film, and come up with these amazing correlations, if you are really fucked up. Ah college.
