You familiar with Absolute Monarchs? My buddy just saw them at one of the free Seattle Center mural shows and said they were totally killer. He sent me their album but I still need to give it a listen.

You will see me in rare form that night, in that I will be bouncing all-the-fuck around that Showbox, which will be interesting because that room is a lot bigger than the rooms I'm used to bouncing all-the-fuck around in at Lightning Bolt shows. So last night there was a semi boarder meet up and it was sweet! There was a fundrasier thingy at a local watering hole and a bunch of local bands played Beastie Boys chunes all night. Good friggen time, but I am paying for it this morning. Holy moly.

Last night I watched Our Lady Peace play songs from 15 years ago, even though they've released 6 (SIX!?) more albums since the last time anyone cared. They were actually pretty good, surprisingly.
