Pretty sad that they found time to include Whitney Houston in the RIP video thing, but Etta James was somehow left out...

The inventor of the album cover's in there. Someone who died yesterday is in there, but not Etta James? Sad.

How did they leave Etta James out of the reel when they did a tribute to her? So confused. Lame.

Robyn prolifically releases 3 awesome albums under the Body Talk moniker and loses to Skrillex. Rigged.

Bull fucking shit. Robyn could eat Skrillex like the candy his name sounds like.

They did a seperate tribute to Etta James.

The Beach Boys reunion was a disaster. I'm so disappointed. When the best part of that whole segement was the dipshit from Maroon 5, you know it's bad. The absolute worst was that loser from Foster the People who looked like a complete creeper.

Bruno Mars and Foo Dr. Garbanzohters totally killed it though.

We seriously need to do The Horned Grammy's next year. With the Grammy's proximity to the lineup drop it would be the perfect excuse to get us all back together and smashed.

Yeah maybe he'll beat the shit out of someone while he's on stage.

I'll admit I forgot he was the one who beat up Rihanna (sp?) when I typed that. Aside from likely making terrible music, I would never give him my money after that incident anyway.

I think he mostly sticks to beating up mirrors at good morning america these days. To think that journalists just won't forget that he brutally assaulted one of the most famous women in the world!

I thought Foster the People did a pretty good job of the Beach Boys cover, aside from looking creepy and incredibly nervous.

my notes:

-Chris Brown can go fuck himself
-Rihanna is basically a singing stripper (judging from her performance)
-Chris Martin sounded like shit (although that might just be how that song is supposed to sound)
-The Foo Dr. Garbanzohters/Deadmau5 mashup was awkward
-Sir Paul killed it
-Taylor Swift needs to stop looking so fucking surprised when she gets applause
-Adele killed it (although I could do with less of her actually speaking)
-I think Dave Grohl was on camera more than LL Cool J
-Thoroughly enjoyed The Civil Wars saying that "that young man from Liverpool has a future" or whatever
-I hate Skrillex's hair almost as much as I hate Lady Gaga's fashion statements
-What the fuck was that abomination they kept calling Nicky Minaj?
-Tony Bennet is a pimp
-Why do they get professional athletes to banter while presenting awards? It was actually cringe-worthy.

Even with all of the other crazy shit that happened last night, the presenter that saluted Gil Scott Heron by saying "thanks to him and other poets, the revolution is being televised" was the thing that annoyed me the most. The message of the song isn't particularly complicated...
