Maybe you had it confused with ATP festival? It's a cool city to visit. I went to Lollapalooza in 2007 and had a blast.

While the Pitchfork Fest is the biggest crowd of hipsters you'll ever see, the lineup has been pretty bomb several years running. Just that first list of names is worth the money, and there are 3x that many to come. James Blake is sweet but I'm SOOO excited I get to see Animal Collective this summer (after being denied by squatch)

You been before Drew? I went in '08 and '10 myself.

I just bought my tickets to the Pitchfork Festival this summer. Initial lineup has Animal Collective, James Blake, Curren$y, Fleet Foxes, Dismemberment Plan (!), Ariel Pink, TVotR, Cut Copy, Odd Future, Destroyer, and some others. Anyone else going?

See ya there buddy!!! My friend that's going to Sasquatch with me this year is going also. It is too good of a lineup to pass up. Its like a compact Primavera at the moment.

I went in...2006 I think? Long time ago, one of the first few years. My best friend from high school's older brother lived with a Pitchfork writer, so we got free VIP passes that year. Got to hang out backstage with Jens Lekman, Devendra Banhart, Dan Bejar, the dudes from Man Man (who were particularly cool), others. And I got free beer and food both days. I haven't been since then, but the same friend is getting free tickets for himself, so I Dr. Garbanzoured I'd tag along. No VIP this time, though, it's gotten too big.

Yeah and the lineup will just keep getting better. Superchunk is likely, I guess, and Pulp is heavily rumored. I expect good things. We'll have to grab a beer together.

The first time I fly over seas I'm hoping it will be to Ireland. I wouldn't mind planning a trip around that festival!

I've never been out of the country before, Pea! Ireland is certainly my number one place to visit as soon as I get the opportunity. How could it not be?! I'd fit right in with my pale skin and red hair ;)

And considering the line up tomorrow, it is a definite possibility that we may try to make it happen this year!
