Count me in! This is great news in my opinion. If you have never seen DMB perform then you are basically missing the eighth wonder of the world.

I saw DMB on the tour for 'Crash', which was officially the last good DMB album. Yeah, it was a great show. Anymore, if you go see Dave Matthews perform you are automatically a huge fucking tool.

The Leaked Lillywhite Sessions IMO had some of Dave's most earnest and best songwriting. Unfortunately he dumped that edition and came out with overproduced shit instead. The Original 'Bartender' is a great song.

Crash is an amazing album. Sometimes I get caught up in all their live albums and what not and forget to listen to Crash. I played it a couple nights ago actually, after I drank a ton of whiskey, and I was in musical bliss.
I know what you mean about going to see them anymore. They still kick a ton of ass but the crowd is shitty sometimes. The last time I went, this guy and girl were fucking yelling in my ear the whole time. They were talking about what they were going to do after the show and were gossiping about people at their high school.....yadda yadda yadda. They continued to do this during all the greatest jams, and then when the singing started up again they would stop talking and try to sing the lyrics but they didn't know the lyrics exactly so they just failed miserably. I wanted to murder both of them.
I still enjoy seeing DMB, the amount of talent in that band is unbelievable. The fact that they never play the same setlist is also incredible. It boggles my mind to think about how much pure instinct as well as mental preparation is needed for their tour.

she's never really been to one that's more than a 1-day, and is a bit baffled that I am so willing to dish out $300 before even knowing who's playing.

Before last year, I didn't consider myself much of a camper. But after camping the weekend at the Gorge and "roughing it" at a swanky hotel in downtown Chicago for Lolla, I love festivals and am getting pretty geeked out for this year.
Something tells me that if she goes, she'll love it.
And there's no shame in shelling out $300 for what has been notoriously a badass festival--especially when this is the 10th year anniversary.
