Ban A Member For A Week Contest
« Thread Started on Jan 18, 2011, 8:45pm »

Normally you all do a great job of policing yourselves, but it is getting ridiculous the last couple days, so we need to instigate a couple rules.

1. Dr. Garbanzohting is allowed, but personal arguments belong in the linked thread below. You are allowed to disagree in threads, but when you feel like personally attacking another boarder who disagrees with you, move it to the Barb thread. As a general rule of thumb, when you get done typing your post, think to yourself; is this comment unrelated to music or the theme of this topic, am I calling out a specific individual, and do I expect an equally combative reply from said member. If the answer to each is yes, move your comment to the Barb thread. Otherwise I'll just delete your comments.

2. No threats of physical violence. This includes punching and shooting people.

3. Be civil. No gay jokes. No sexist jokes.

4. Don't be asinine just to be an ass, even if you are pretending to be civil.

5. Stay on topic.

If significant improvement doesn't occur over the next couple days, I'll start the "Ban A Member For A Week," contest. This is where I will create a new thread called, "Mindless BS," then I'll move every post not following the above five rules to this new thread. Scoring details will be revealed upon the contests inception, with the winner receiving a one week ban. Sounds fun?

Lastly, it's the internet. Quit taking things so personal.

PS - Welcome new boarders. Feel free to join the discussions. It's really not hard to fit in around here, especially if you follow the rules above.
