Thats fair enough, previous to this I thought it was quite possible Arcade Fire would be at Sasquatch. Also to further refute my own point Bjork headlined both festivals in 2007 (but Bjork is amazing). I guess the are still in the running, but I'd still think this basically kills any hope people had of Kanye and I agree they wouldn't share 2 headliners.

And more importantly we can rule out KINGS OF LEON!

(Not that I'd think they'd be there, but you gotta admit, it's a relief.)

The fact they are headlining Coachella should prove finally, beyond a shadow of a doubt, that Kings of Leon did in fact sell their souls to the the devil for Rock-and-Roll stardom.

They've now headlined every major festival in the United States! What the fuck.

What? If I became obscenely rich and famous for a song called "Sex on Fire" that could have me banging any college student in America, that's ALL I'd fucking say.

I did. SHAMELESS PLUG ALERT. This is the review I wrote about them.

"I know why I attended this show (Mastodon and the Deftones), but I don't know why I stuck around for the headliner. Being a huge Alice in Chains fan growing up, the death of Layne Staley hurt me more than the death of any musician. He is Alice in Chains, so seeing someone else sing his songs was painful. It was like watching the girl who broke your heart having sex with another man with thousands of people cheering them on. I went through the Kubler-Ross five stages of grief in a matter of moments:

1. Denial - This can't be happening. Nooooooooo?
2. Anger - Why the fuck are all of you cheering?
3. Bargaining - Excuse me sir, if I give you $20, will you tie this t-shirt around my throat and squeeze until I quit breathing?
4. Depression - Tears rolling down cheeks, continually yelling, "WHY?"
5. Acceptance - What the fuck, this show sucks. I'm thirsty.

New lead singer dude, I mean no disrespect, you stumbled into a position where you will make a lot of money trying to sound like Layne. It's not your fault, and you absolutely hit Layne's voice perfectly on "And We Die Young." I blame Jerry Cantrell for allowing this to happen. With so many songs about the heroin addiction that eventually took Layne's life, there were certain song inclusions that had me feeling like they were stomping on his grave. Had they played "Junkhead", I swear I would have ran on stage with fists flying.

Jerry, please change this band's name to Allie in Chains. This can't even meet the strict criteria of Tribute Band. This is a cover band, and promoting it as the real thing is not fair."

I didn't that that AiC show was THAT bad. But then again I kinda expected it to be shitty since I got the $10 seats.

There were so few people at the arena show they played in Vancouver, that they upgraded us to the lower bowl. Every single person that was in the upper bowl got moved down so they could close that level. What does that tell you?

Seriously, whose 9 did KoL round up? I can't think of a less deserving band that's ever made it so big. I really can't.

k so:

Foo Dr. Garbanzohters
Arcade Fire or Kanye
Soundgarden or Pearl Jam
Death Cab/Modest Mouse

Is what I'm thinking now.

Do you guys think if we share a headliner with Coachella that someone may "accidentally" leak that they're also playing Sasquatch? Are they worried about Arcade Fire or Kanye or the Strokes being a big enough deciding factor for people to buy they're Coachella tickets now, instead of waiting for the Sasquatch lineup to compare?
