There's like six White Stripes albums and they all sound fucking exactly the same. Why are we all so broken hearted about this?

Pshaw! Six excellent albums (seriously not a dud among them, and at least two are GREAT), one of the best live docs (Under Great White Northern Skies) and a shitload of amazing live performances and music videos - and all with relatively primitive recording techniques, a shitty drummer, and three colors.

Klaxons are playing Vancouver, Seattle, and Portland in April. Consider them out.

LCD Soundsystem's last show ever is April 2nd at MSG so that counts them out as the repeat act.

hearing about that this morning made me quite sad. they got a crappy slot at sasquatch last year and didn't stop in seattle, so I definitely didn't get my fill of them before they're hanging it up. what a shame.

I know, this news has put a huge damper on my Saturday. Time to drink (NyQuil) til I can't feel feelings.

I really hate that they are calling this their last show, there doesn't seem to be any reason for it. I'm more thankful than ever now that I was able to see them at Sasquatch and definitely put their set in one of my all time favorite concert experiences. God damnit James Murphy!

First the White Stripes, now LCD, if Animal Collective calls it quits I don't know what I'll listen to.

I've never understood why bands say "last show ever" or "we're quitting". It never makes sense because a lot of them end up getting back together. Phish tried to quit and that didn't last very long. If you want to take a long break then do so, I don't think it needs an explanation.

What is up with bands breaking up this week?

Anyways Gorillaz has broken up so they won't be at Sasquatch...not that anyone thought they were going to be anyway.
