Ha, ha! But seriously, Sasquatch! 2011. « Thread Started on Jun 20, 2010, 12:47am »
Anyone wanna start making rumors? This is partially taken from the Adam Snacks "who I want to see" list on the tumblr questionnaire he just put up:
Headliners - Portishead, Beck, Sublime Other - Elbow, Sleigh Bells, Deerhunter, Belle and Sebastian, Flying Lotus, Morning Benders (they were at '08, but I guess he didn't see them), Elysian Fields, Suckers, Ted Leo and the Pharmacists, Toro Y Moi (finally), Warpaint, Holy Fuck, Antlers, High on Fire (?!!?), Here We Go Magic, The Roots... probably should stop there cuz there'll be spots for bands who "come out" later this year (xx, chune-yards, etc)
I picked sort of conservative headliners because that's the trend, but Rush, Bruce Springsteen, and Al Green are all on the list too.

Sublime without Bradley Nowell isn't even close to headliner material, they're just a shell of the original band that are out to make money off the Sublime name. they'd also bring out one of the biggest frat boy crowds in Sasquatch history, so fuck that. they went the right direction with the headliners this year, there seemed to be a significant drop in the amount of bros in attendance from last year. Beck as a headliner is something I could get behind though. maybe a Beck / Flaming Lips co-headliner thing going on Sunday night. I'd probably lose my shit if they announced something like that.

Yes please for Portishead! They only played ONE North American show in 2008 - at Coachella, where they were set to headline . . . until Prince magically stole their spot. Anyway, I would be happy with a sub-headlining sunset slot for Portishead.

stars is a superb call. pretty much anyone who comes out with a new album between now and next may has a 99.999999999% chance of ending up on the bill.

Beck and Wayne Coyne hated each other. Anyone who saw the "Beckon the Paining Exists" (Beck & the Flaming Lips) tour knows that as cool as that might sound, it blows pretty hard.
