He's not as bad as you guys make him sound. His lyrics are corny but his voice and the sound make up for it. I don't really listen to him too often, maybe once every few months, if that. But I did see him in concert last year and I really enjoyed it.

So City and Colour had to cancel due to an illness. Is "making happy festival goers sad" technically an illness?

I don't normally get excited about someone being ill but I was pleased not to have sit through his set before the xx. Did anyone like Mt St Helen's Vietnam Band? Not for me, and some drunk french guy was behind me with a foam tube (which he frequently referred to his magic stick) hitting my friends to the beat and screaming for City and Colour. Some awesome guy behind me called him out and the guy's girlfriend called him a "*** in a moustache". Amusing.
