Akron/Family - One of those bands that i knew I'd love, and knew that I'd need to immerse myself in eventually. Very creative and unique, no wonder my Dad and sister are so into them. |

Watched the KEXP performances of Rose Windows, Deep Sea Diver, and Elliott BROOD and came away pleasantly surprised with all three acts...I was completely unaware that Deep Sea Diver is the solo project of the lady guitarist from the shins...

I watched them live last year and I didn't even know that. Proves how forgettable their set was.

| I am unabashedly excited for Rose Windows. I hope that there isn't a conflict because I might just have to bite the bullet and see them.
Here's their version of "Summertime"... http://vimeo.com/46333346

I'm really digging Disclosure. Should be some good stuff to dance to in the tent. I'm gonna check out John Talabot next. I'm familiar with the material of at least half the bands playing this year already and as I listen to more it's going to create some gnarly conflicts, but oh well. I used to stick to seeing bands I already knew, but after those festivals I'd get into certain bands I could have seen and I'm like I really skipped out on them?
