Any chance he could be rampantly speculated about? I don't know how often he tours. The only time I saw him was at Bumbershoot and I had no idea who he was when we saw him. Fun times though and that seems like an act right up Sasquatch's alley |

I honestly don't think he is right for a large festival. Part of the whole thing is this group being led by him and feeling the power of the collective and whatnot. You can't really get that level of intimacy at a large festival. When you are supposed to point to the person who us nit participating in the beginning, there are going to be a couple thousand up on the hill. |

I saw him in a tent at bonnaroo and it was amazing. I agree he wouldn't work on the main stage, but throw him in the nanner shack and people would be going nuts.

2009-20011 (and probably before that, but I wasn't there) I agree, but did this happen last year? I'm thinking having 2 of the biggest names on the poster play the final 2 mainstage spots kept most people around, but I really have no frame of reference since I was on the floor from the end of Silversun Pickups to the end of Beck. Anyone on the hill know if it was as empty as previous years at the end of the fest?
And just to throw my support behind the new guy I think MBV could fit the Ben Harper/Ween/Wilco headliner spot in the sense lots people don't care about them and will therefor leave early, but the ones who do care about them get to see a full set at one of the best venues in the world.

You're 12x as literate as most lurkers that become newbs so don't give up yet. Wait until wonk has a swing at you before you do that.

HG missed the part where MBV sold out Wamu theater in 2009. To say they would play a GBV set time to a small crowd just isn't true.

| Yeah... I'm gonna have to disagree with HG on this one. While MBV wouldn't be HEADLINER status, they would probably be a subheadliner on the main stage or something.

Reunion show. That was the first time nearly all of the NW had a chance to see My Bloody Valentine live since before Pitchfork was invented.
