I had more fun in the Banana Shack last year than I've ever had inside the Sahara. I can't fucking WAIT to be back inside that thing this year.

I finally got around to listening to this and it's pretty solid. I would bet it is even better when a Coke Music commercial doesnt come on every 3 songs and make me wonder why the hell the Silversun Pickups have dubstep on their album.

You must have missed Morgan Page. That set blew my mind, and I was sober. I'm pretty sure wonk witnessed my transformation into a dancing machine.

I just don't like the Sahara tent anymore. The sound and visuals are amazing, sure, but it's just way too over the top. I'll take the Do Lab over it any day. The banana shack was just such a party, and such a perfect size and had the perfect vibe all weekend.

Morgan Page was at 12:00pm on Sunday, early enough to still be awesome. I get what you're saying though. I missed Lucent Dossier but walked by a few times while they were on, and was really really tempted. That shit was insane.

I think I'm still kicking myself for not truly appreciating Sasha's and Paul Van Dyk's sets last year. There was plenty of room to enjoy yourself in there and in retrospect were two of the best sets of the weekend. I just wanted some trance in the Sahara this year!

I saw the Glitch Mob in the Sahara in '10 and the show was meh. Saw them again in the Banana Shack last year and it was among my top five sets of that weekend.
Granted, most acts I'd want to see in the Sahara are usually earlier in the day with shorter time slots. A handful of those artists will make it on the Squatch lineup since the fest is much more selective with EDM. Those acts get a bit more of an opportunity to shine at Sasquatch.

Yeah, was all fist-pumping house and dubstep. I admit I got my dubstep on several times....

You totally should have come to Elements in Edmonton with Souly and I. There were 3 stages, and one of them (water) was all trance, all weekend.

IRL LOL. I don't know how to respond to that. During ATB I was jumping up and down, punctuating the beat, and generally being a moron. Not to mention flirting with nearby dancers. That could mean almost anything.

We could have just been 2 cars full of people here for the party. At least in previous years you had to buy a camping pass, last year you could have gotten in for free. One of our neighbours wasn't attending the fest because she sprained her ankel and didn't want to walk around all day and sold her ticket to a friend. She still camped though. |
|
I have a friend coming up from AZ who believes she lost or misplaced her ticket. Rather then by a new one, she's thinking about just coming up for the camp and maybe get lucky enough to buy one from someone at the show. Worst case scenario - she camps all weekend and still has a blast.
I'm a sasquatch veteran, but missed last year. Are they checking tickets for everyone upon entry now? Is the wristband requirement in the campsite heavily enforced now? My plan was just to smuggle her past the entrance under some blankets if need be, but wondering if she'll have a hard time at the campsite nonetheless.
I tried the search function for a answer, this was the most I could find. Sorry if this is the wrong place to post; thanks in advance for any helpful insight.
