I could be wrong though. |

Most of us who saw Tool at the Gorge in 2006 would not think twice about dropping $300 to see that again.

I already mentioned this, but Primus' fancy fuckin' 3D tour has dates scheduled everywhere in the country except for Portland and Seattle. They announced California shows after the initial tour itinerary was announced; they're doing the New Year's thing (at the fuckin' Warfield, grumble grumble). Although I'm pretty convinced Snack's is intentionally not booking Primus just to piss off us boardies, it's still a distinct possibility.

I would love to see Tool at Sasquatch, it's probably the only way I'd pay to see them. They are a bucket list band for me even though I almost never put their albums on. I've heard the live show is just unreal. Unfortunately I doubt it'll ever happen cause they could sell the gorge out solo style.

A little early in the season for this assertion? Usually we don't hear this until all the newbs show up in February.

Tool is hands down my favorite band, and to be honest.. I was underwhelmed by them live. I will still see them live absolutely any chance I get. Likely was a combination of having unrealistic expectations because I love them so much, and just being too stoned. It was like your first time going to disneyland as a kid though.. you expect it to be actually magical, but then you get there and you're like.. oh, its just an amusement park. A really fucking awesome one, but still. Not magical.
Puscifer put on a really fucking cool show though.

I'm usually the one constantly complaining about the selling out the Gorge on their own problem but I doubt I'll do it this year. If people are arguing Springsteen or U2 that's one thing. If they're saying Muse or something then it's much more likely because of them possibility of an abbreviated Friday. Since so many people are heading out that afternoon, it makes sense to blow all of your money on one big headliner and only a few other acts for that day.

@ Sarah, that was kind of my reaction when I saw Sigur Ros this summer. I definitely know how you feel. Although when I saw Tool for my first and only time, it was nothing short of fucking incredible.

Tool was a billion times better live than Puscifer.
The only comparable experience in my life is Bjork.

Totally amazeballs. I just somehow still expected more. Im not even sure what more could have been. I think i expected to be in a state of full body orgasm for the entire show, and that MJK would make out with me while singing Hooker with a Penis. Didn't happen

Man, I'm glad that I've never had that experience at a Residents show. I would be one sad motherfucker if I was ever left cold by one of their performances.
God bless those ridiculous old hippies.

Except that Sigur Ros show was boarder-line boring, and Tool shows are amazing.
