I know they've been around the area playing, but I haven't really listened to them. Giving them a listen now from their website. Looks like they are playing NYE in Portland.

Where's the place to be for NYE in the PNW this year anyway. I'm thinking about taking a little trip since I have a few days off around then. I don't really want to spend too much on flights etc, so I am thinking about Portland, or Seattle.

All three? I would say 0.8%. Just one? Maybe 20%.

If three of the second-tier acts in 2012 are the same as in 2011 I'd probably be pretty pissed.

So the odds are 125:1 and 5:1 for those keeping track. ;)

That was my second show at Roy Wilkins this year, we went to A Perfect Circle there this summer. I wish I lived closer id go broke seeing shows. Tiesto and Black Keys both played there this year and Pretty Lights played this week I think?

Pretty Lights played at a nightclub called Myth but yeah those others played there (bassnectar played there as well). Roy Wilkins draws big acts (last year Arcade Fire, Pixies, and LCD Soundsystem were the ones I cared about) but I just can't motivate myself to go there. I saw Pavement there when I first moved to the Twin Cities last fall and while the band was fine I just can't stand that venue. You're probably right that it's fine as far as 5000 person venues go (my only comparison is the WAMU center in Washington which is probably worse) but the place felt like a fucking high school gymnasium.

It's still hysterical to hear someone else talking about Minnesota venues cause I thought I was the only one out here

unrelated, I've been reading all of these post about floater and assuming you were talking about the band flipper. I have no interest in either

Let's get Phish at Sasquatch this year!!! They'd be the perfect evening band. Also, bring back the Old 97's

Phish would be awesome but that's probably not going to happen. Anyway, they just played the Gorge like two months ago.

Three noobs in two days. The engines are firing up earlier this year.

I would love to see Modest Mouse on the lineup again! Didn't get to go last year.

In the interest of cleanliness -- since fairowen started this thread so we could list bands we want to see at Sasquatch, and since fairowen has sent a list to Dear Leader, would anyone be angry if I locked this thread? The 2012 crop is showing up for tryouts, and we already have a wishlist and rumor thread to keep track of. Opinions, people?

Seconded by the only other opinion that matters.
