I've been to the last 3 fests and there has never been a late night slot. Has there ever been? and is it a possibility or is there a curfew the gorge has set?
I think a latenight slot/tent would be an awesome addition to this fest, anyone else?

The last two years there has been a band that played late. Last year it was Ozomatli and the year before it was the Polyphonic Spree, I think Verizon or somebody put it on.

Were these late night shows scheduled, and/or announced? Sasquatch 07, the Polyphonic Spree were blown off the main stage by the wind storm shortly after they started, unfortunately they all survived. I heard rumors they would play a late show, but I assumed it was because of the short set earlier.

I didn't realize Ozomatli did a late set last year, what night was it? Was there anyone there?

Flaming Lips played late Sasquatch 06, because of the hail storm delay. I think they played until 130am. They stated during that show that they would play until they were told they weren't allowed, but I recall the set being about the same length as their other shows, which lead me to believe it was not curfew enforced.

Possibly unrelated, but the security were telling people to turn off their music at the campground around 4am (from my drunken recollection).

I don't remember this at all. Where/when did they play?

It'd be cool if they did late-night sets. No reason for a curfew at the Gorge, IMO...it's not like you're gonna wake the neighbors!

Both the Polyphonic Spree and Ozomatli were advertised during the day for their late night shows and you could get free passes to them. Again, I can't remember for sure, but it was put on by one of the sponser like verizon. Neither of them were make up shows due to the weather, though I remember the Spree getting blown off the stage. I did not go to either of the late night shows. I know the Polyphonic Spree happened, but I am not for sure on Ozomatli. I think they both happened on the days that they played earlier in the day.

Oh and they played on the Yeti stage as I recall.

Huh, weird. Where were they advertised? The only thing I remember hearing about happening late-night was Christmas on Mars last year. I didn't stick around to see if it actually happened or not.

There was a booth and people standing around handing out passes. I wish I could remember what company. I don't think it was esurance because they give out early line passes. Hopefully they will do it again this year.

yeah strange, I was not aware of that... not really what I had in mind for a late night show though, I actually like both of those bands, but both seem more suited for a mid-day show. I guess I just like my night-time music a bit darker.(pun intended)

The Polyphonic Spree show definitely happened Sasquatch 07. I was camping in a spot closest to the river and main stage (furthest left down the hill from the camping entrance) and we could see and hear them playing from there. We could also see there was at least a minimal light show. Unless my eyesight was completely deceiving me, my guess was that they were playing the Wookie Stage (the Meadows). I knew it was Polyphonic Spree just because of the rumors I heard ealier in the day about their late night set. I almost went, but Dr. Garbanzoured their set would end shortly after the 20 minute walk back. As I recall, they played forever though, probably until nearly 2am. This would lead me to believe that if there is a curfew in the area, it is not enforced during the fest.

I was camping in a similar spot Sasquatch 08, and didn't see or hear anything from the fest after the headliners. It also seems weird for whomever was sponsoring a late night show to give away free tickets? We were already there as paid customers.

I agree with darkstarcrashes, I would be open to a late night set, but only if the band was worth sticking around for. From what I know of Ozomatli and Polyphnonic Spree, I would rather party at the campground. A late night set by Ghostland Observatory though would be killer. I mentioned it before, but it was not really fair that Ghostland played against the Flaming Lips UFO show, and they should be invited back.

I think they handed out tickets because they were only letting in a certain amount of people, that or they were trying to make it more exclusive sounding.

Weird. I never saw or heard anything about the late night Ozomatli set last year either. But I do recall that the final 2:30am screening of Christmas on Mars was cancelled, supposedly because it was past curfew.

I didn't go to the Ozomatli show, so I could be mistaken, but I am almost positive they were handing out passes to go to a late night show.

I also heard the late night Flaming Lips movie was canceled, but I heard it was due to technical difficulties surrounding the tent, and/or movie screen. It could have also been that there were only 12 people there wanting to watch it that late. I love the the Flaming Lips, but I wouldn't skip any of the festivities that Sasquatch offers to see it. Maybe it was curfew though, since I am usually wasted by that time of night, and could be very wrong about the movie tent.

Headliners usually play until close to midnight, and if the Flaming Lips Sasquatch 06, and the Polyphonic Spree Sasquatch 07 played until after 1am, I am going to go out on a limb, and say a late show in the Meadows starting around midnight is highly plausible. Likely, maybe not?

Verizon sponsored the late show both times, I believe Ozomatli took place in what was the comedy tent during the day. I considered Ozo but I'd seen them in 07 and 08, didn't need to see them a third time on the same day I already saw them.
