I am seriously not trying to start an argument. I really wanted to know your opinion. I am actually excited to hear them.

Edit: I will say that if you don't like them after seeing them live, you likely never will.

Ha ha ha. I shouldn't get online when I am drinking whiskey. Evan Williams just turns me into a message board nightmare.

I just recently got into Chromeo this year... Start with the album "Fancy Footwork" if you haven't already.

It was easy for me to like them, because I enjoy 80's pop and Dance music alot. This band is a pefect example of how lyrics don't necessarily have to be poetic or deep for a song to be good. It's just simple, fun music.

I mean look at these lyrics:

"I know, inside of me,
If I wait a bit longer, she was meant to be
Camon girl, we can't be apart
A special kind of lovin reaches right to my heart

We don't know which way to go
It doesn't really matter what we do
There's gotta be one good way to know
If all this is worth it we can work it
Night by night."

I just laugh my ass off when I listen to this song. I mean, I am excited to see Chromeo at Sasquatch because I know it will be a blast and everyone will be dancing. But you have to admit those lyrics are just funny as hell.

Does the Bright Eyes Superfan really want to go down the path of scrutinizing lyrics for "just funny as hell" lyrics?

God damn it, you guys, I'm writing a brief and don't have time to compile a "worst-of" set right now. I was banking on a prompt and submissive "No, sir" from Switch. Someone else start it and I'll contribute before long.

You guys are really just misunderstanding me right now. I don't mean funny as hell in a bad way. I mean funny as hell in a "that is really really 80's" sort of way. I don't know how else I can explain myself. I am trying to tell you that I am not knocking on Chromeo. I don't know why you keep bringing Bright Eyes into this? I find the 80's amusing. Fuck it. I give up.

Ha ha. I know. This is why whiskey and the internet don't mix with me. I get fucking nuts. It brings out the old Switch in me. I realize that everyone is just fucking with me but it gets amplified when I have been knocking back a few. I have to defend Conor.
