I really liked Gigantic when we went there last weekend. Did you like that Axes of Evil?

What was the anniversary beer like?

I ended up getting 2 bottles of the Pandamonium last night. All you need is one to get a good buzz going. Pretty tasty stuff. I have one left, and will probably grab some more this weekend. Do you just want me to grab you one bottle badchoices?

Haven't tried the Gigantic yet, but I got through all of the others.

The anniversary IPA was good. Probably my least favorite of the five anniversary beers I've tried, but it's a very nice summery IPA. The lemon verbena presence is very heavy, so if you like an IPA with a lot of citrusy notes then I would definitely recommend it. They also did a fantastic job of hiding that 10% alcohol in there somewhere. It drinks more like a normal IPA than a double.

Hell yeah, I will have to try and find a good brew to get for you too. Would you want an IPA style? Or just a surprise ?

Nice, I am going with my parents, siblings and some extended family to San Diego in September and I think we are going to hit up Stone. I have been there before but I will go there again FO SHO. Last year the anniversary was the CDA wasn't it?

Surprise me. I like IPA's but it's also summer and I love a good Wheat beer in the summer.

Just heard that Ninkasi is having a release party for Maiden The Shade (seasonal) at The Green Frog (BHAM) tonight. THey will have 12 Ninkasi beers on tap and Maiden Voyage (Iron Maiden cover band) playing some chunes

I think I am going to have to go for the beer at least

Change of plans. Went to a bottle shop and found some good stuff and had a couple of Ninkasi beers while shopping.

Maiden The Shade (american IPA)
Lady of Avalon (dark lager)

They were both pretty fucking good. That satisfied my Ninkasi needs for the evening so not going out. Instead the night will be full of records and Mariners.

In case you can't see what is in the photo I got:
Victory - Prima Pils
Full Sail - Berliner Weiss (from the brewer's share series)
Southampton - Burton IPA
Stone - Anniversary 16

Did I mention how obsessed I am with Gaytheist's Stealth Beats?

Anchor - Small Beer

A second generation beer, meaning they reuse the mash. In this case the mash used to make barley wine is reused to create the "small beer" which is basically an english style bitter. DAMN TASTY!

North Coast - Pranqster

I am well aware of most folks distaste of belgian style brews, but that won't stop me from posting about the sweet nectar that is Pranqster. So there's my post.
