Jesus, that's weird. I guess that script for Top Gun II wasn't as dy-no-mite as everyone said it was.

If y'allz get a chance and need a Netflix streaming movie to watch, go watch God Bless America. It was written/directed by Bobcat Goldthwait, and it's great. Too quote Netflix's brief description: "Disgusted with American society and diagnosed with a brain tumor, Frank teams up with teenager Roxy and the two begin killing reality TV stars, bigots and others they find repugnant in Bobcat Goldthwait's black comedy."
Also, the ending is one of my favorite endings to any movie ever.

If it's half as excellent as Shakes the Clown was, then I have to see this.
In fact that it's been plenty long enough since I watched Shakes the Clown. Maybe I'll do a double feature. And then take a shower.
Soon as dat camera off, he gonna fuck dat little dog.

And the main character in God Bless America reminds me so much of Walter White in Breaking Bad.

I watched The Kids Are Alright last night for the first time, and I thought that was an incredible movie. Poignant as hell, no missed beats, and the little girl has good music taste.

Saw Silent House. Elizabeth Olsen continues to surprise me with her talent, I liked her in Martha Marcy May Marlene too. Clearly the superior Olsen.
The movie was great for the first 75 minutes, edited in such a way that it appears to be all one take and pulled it off really well. It was suspenseful throughout and pretty freakin scary, in fact my ears hurt from plugging them so much (this is my coping mechanism for Horror flicks). But then they crapped all over the place in the last 15 minutes- very lazy, clichéd and disappointing "twist". It would have been totally fine if they had continued with the original trajectory of the story, don't understand why they fucked with it.

Agreed. Superior Olsen on all accounts. Talent, looks, boobs...
As a child I defintely had the Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen mystery series. Little 3 year old Lizzie usually made at least one appearance in each film... a 20 year acting career!

I just found out that the sample in the beginning of this song is from the 1984 Emilio Estevez classic 'Repo Man'.

God, I haven't seen Repo Man in fucking ages. That would make for an excellent double feature with Emilio Estevez' other classic Men at Work, if Men at Work didn't have his crack-hounding brother in it as well.
