Waking up and rereading the line up.

Being terrified of teaching my sociology class about Biopower and The Pharmacracy and how it impacts drugs in a societal content because I was horridly hung over and killing it.

It's a theory by this guy Thomas Szasz (his name reminds me of something Bill Cosby would say). Basically, medicine and politics have developed an alliance which keeps them both on power. Of course, this is an extreme over simplification.

Also making me smile today: reading Michel Foucault's work.

This dude was one of the craziest mofos to ever be considered a academic and as such, has given me hope that an individual who once stumbled around the Gorge wrapped in police caution tape has the ability to strike out into academia and leave some sort of lasting mark.
