Pulled out all my old CD wallets and found nearly 100 albums that, for one reason or another, never made it onto my iPod. Pulled out a bottle of lens cleaner and buffed 'em all down and now I am -- slowly, painfully, meticulously -- ripping them one at a time.
God I hate compact discs, but there's some really great stuff in here that I haven't heard in years.

Ummm my heart just melted.
I've been kinda bummed lately and I guess some of the kids I work with have picked up on it. Yesterday a kid asked me if I was okay and I told him I was just fine and that adults have sad days too sometimes. Today he made me this card, "Chelsea, thank you for taking care of me. You make me feel good about myself." The stickers are bears playing instruments and he said "that's a picture of you and me at a concert because I know how much you love concerts". This made me so happy not only on a personal level but also gave me hope for humanity. The fact that this child,who has been shit on his whole life by the people who were supposed to take care of him, still has the capacity to be empathic towards others is amazing.
