What Ro is saying is, Alex, you are feeding the troll, and he is reveling in it. There is no point in a level-headed response to being wonked. Wonk will wonk you because he doesn't like how you post, and you have to deal with it. He's like the centaur at the center of the labyrinth. Everybody's got to deal with him eventually.

Also, if Wonk were saying all of this to you in person, you would probably laugh and buy him a beer.

This place used to be a shining beacon of internet assholery, and that kind of fell by the wayside after we all became friends. Trolling is protected by the unwritten bylaws of this board, and is thoroughly encouraged.

Hey daver go wash your hair.

I haven't been to a dentist since 2006, how the fuck you know I didn't like dentists?

I still have no idea what your issue is, but I also realize I likely never will; it is what it is I guess, and it is the internet so it doesn't really matter, right?

There is no 'issue'. Trolling is its own reward.

For seriously, it's standard practice to dogpile on anyone who reaches a point where 80% of their posts are about the same thing.

Classics:

Bright Eyes (Switch)
Taking Back Sunday (J. Walter Weatherman)
Steak Nachos (danl46)
Where Is Parties? (mase50)
The Residents (HG)

The only exception is Burrito, who exclusively posted about Black Dice and weed for his first two months, but was somehow great at it.

Haha this leads me to believe that you (HG) weren't here during my Coheed days. Thank god. You and I8 would have run me out of town.

Burrito is just above reproach. Even people who haven't met him know instinctively that he is just an inherently cool dude.

Definitely an anomaly.

I believe it is traditionally a minotaur at the center of the labyrinth. Centaurs favor shady glens, archery ranges and porn studios.

Seems to me that this has gone far beyond trolling, but hey, he's apparently funny in person so it must be just fine.

No, this falls pretty squarely within the category of trolling. And frankly, it's fairly tame.

I told Hancho to GET THE FUCK OUT after all of his posts for a couple weeks, for instance. That was probably over the line.
