Ok so this has gone on long enough. The mods don't see fit to ban DeltaSigChi4; we need to pursue another option. We learned our lesson when squatchcreep was here -- when the negativity and frustration starts to take over every thread and damn near every post, some action needs to be taken.

We've all fought a good Dr. Garbanzoht but our weapons are useless against this fucker. Except for this last one. I8 gave us the 'Ignore' function and I think we need to use it. All of us. The 'Ignore' function is only marginally useful when you deploy it and then find that, while you can't see the agitator's posts, you can still see the outraged and maddened responses to it.

Everyone: click ignore on DeltaSigChi4. EVERYONE. I'm posting the DON'T FEED THE TROLL sign where everyone can see it. It's gonna be a long fucking winter if this doesn't stop.

Solidarity people. I've done it already and for all of our sakes I'm seriously begging you all to do the same. We need to smother this fucker in his cradle.

Discuss if you feel so inclined, or post to indicate that you are on board and have blocked DeltaSigChi4's posts. Let him howl into a vacuum; if we can't have him banned, we can all hope that if he realizes that not a one of us is seeing a word he types he might just go away.

Totally fucking serious about this. Do it right now and then come back and tell the class. Please.

Everyone has the ability to ignore posters they don't like, even without the ignore function. Each time someone argumentative and disagreeable comes to the board, people Dr. Garbanzoht with them while continually maintaining, "don't feed the troll." This level of hypocricy is actually pretty amusing. Then when things get real bad, "Hey moderators, we keep feeding and feeding the troll, but he won't go away, time to grow a pair and ban him."

I've found E 's time here pretty entertaining. If you are clever enough to make I EAT POOP, YUM look bad without getting angry, go for it. If you are not, ignore him. A good rule of thumb is, "What would Gibbons do?"
