The police chief shut down the Knitting Factory in Spokane for 20 days, because some gang members were shooting each other outside after a private party that took place there. It wasn't even a music related event.
Actually, it sounds like they shut it down for good and the Knitting Factory has 20 days to appeal the decision. At least that's how the article read to me.
That's what I was thinking, but the title was a little misleading. This is kind of a bummer, because that was my go to for shows for a long time. More of those shows are coming to Missoula as well though. Maybe even more of those shows will just come to Missoula now.

Knitting Factory released an official statement on facebook that made it sound like they were only cancelling shows for the upcoming weekend, and that is how I even came across this news, but people are talking like it could be shut down for good, and there has been a facebook page created to keep it open. A little confusing really.
Also effing terrible that a parent of an infant being treated for HIV just falls off the planet for awhile and stops getting their child treatment. The child was obviously incredibly lucky. Where the F was social services?

Jesus christ, the whole story is stupid, but the worst part to me is her shoes. Who the hell can wear 8 inch heels all day long at a festival? My feet kill me after a weekend of walking in the most comfortable shoes I own, so props to her I guess.
