I was wondering who was going to bring this up. I hadn't been following this case at all, but briefly skimmed through a bit of the details today. Pretty fucking heavy. Not sure how I feel about the verdict given my limited knowledge, but that poor little girl did not receive any kind of justice today and I doubt she ever will.

I think she is guilty as sin, but there was nowhere near enough evidence to convict her. Especially considering the death penalty was in play (which blows my mind that this still happens...but I guess that is another discussion now isn't it?).

Her name keeps coming up. What was her involvement with the whole thing?

She is a rabid bitch hyena, who is a former prosecutor, with a nightly news talk show on CNN. Her go to move is to invite people on, who think they are going to be an expert guest or the like, and then when they disagree, even if only slightly, she brings a hurricane of shit upon them, and makes them wish they had never been born.

She also covered the Casey Anthony thing every night, for probably, like 2 years. From day one she said she was guilty, even before there was a snippet of evidence, she could just tell she was a bad person, because she knows all.

She also starts every goddamn sentence with the phrase, " So you're telling me....?"

I know exactly who Nancy Grace is. I was just unaware of her interest in this case because I don't give her a second of my time.

Its worth noting that during her stint as a prosecutor, Nancy Grace was reprimanded 3 fucking times by higher courts for completely disregarding any notion of due process and nearly disbarred at least one time if I recall correctly.

The jury did well with what they were given and the judge's final statement on the case was pretty spot on in my opinion.

The entire fucking Anthony family is fucked up and all complicit in the death of Caylee. What about the grandmother who noted that Casey's car smelled like a dead person AND STILL DID NOT FUCKING REPORT ANYTHING (at the time, at least)? Or the grandfather who was a fucking ex-cop who failed to take any action for 31 days? Theres a lot more to the story than anybody other than that 3-ring circus of a family will ever know.

However, I'm a firm believer that today is an example of the system actually working for once because no matter what we THINK, no matter what the jury THOUGHT, they decided based on the evidence the prosecutors presented them and unfortunately for those prosecutors, showing slideshows of slutty pictures of a drunk Casey Anthony to a jury did not end with her on a gurney with a needle in her arm.

So what does the end of the Space Shuttle program ( at least for the time being) mean to you guys?

I spent the first 9 years of my life wanting to fly in one of those things. The dream died when I realized I wasn't near smart enough to make that happen. I am really sad that they are no longer sending these shuttles up, although I do somewhat understand the logic (The Nations Well being> Expensive scientific exploration). However, I firmly believe that mankind was meant to explore, and to adventure beyond our known lands; since there is few unknown lands left on Earth, I know it is only a matter of time before we are traveling to space again.
