I have been thinking about what I want for my second tattoo. I have been thinking about this for a long time now and I finally came across some tattoo gold yesterday. I've been wanting something Bright Eyes related, don't ask why because I fucking hate that band, and I have finally found it:

I am not going to have all the writing and stuff, obviously, and I think I am going to get it in an oval rather than a square. You get the idea though. I know this might make me a psycho fanboy, but I don't really care. I think the artwork is awesome.

Sorry Gramma, my mind is made up. It's going to happen. I think if it were an actual portrait of his face it would be more creepy, at least this will have an artistic quality to it. Besides, his music and lyrics mean a lot to me and I don't mind expressing my appreciation for what his music has meant to me over the years. (I'm trying to reassure myself here)

I was just kidding. I don't need reassurance. I really don't mind if people might consider this creepy, I have lived 27 years with people thinking worse shit about me. I'm going to go ahead and move foward with this one. So be a good buddy and back me up. Its going to happen when I move to Portland so you can come and watch while the awsomeness that is this tattoo gets engraved into my skin.

Besides, why is it worse? All things considered -- that tattoo is fairly well executed. I could pull up dozens of terrible portrait tattoos in a matter of seconds thanks to Google. Honest question, Switch, why do you think that one's worse? Because it's Bono and not Oberst? Because it's a realistic portrait and not stylized lines and shit? Because Bono looks douchey in that picture and Oberst looks, uh, somehow non-douchey in your eyes?

What is it? Why that picture? Why that example?

Woah, calm down. I think it is actually a great tattoo in terms of execution and artistic ability. I'm just not a fan of Bono. It was more of a joke than anything. I don't think that my tattoo will be better than anyone elses. It will mean something to me just like the Bono tattoo obviously means a lot to whoever owns it. I posted my tattoo idea because I like the artwork and I was excited about it. I hate having to defend myself all the time. I know you all hate Conor Oberst, you don't have to keep telling me that, but this will mean something to me and fuck why can't you just be happy for me. I need a beer.
