Ugh. I got hit by a car in a parking lot today in the absolute stupidest way - I was standing still and she backed out of her spot super fast and managed to pin my hand between her side mirror and my open car door. At the time I thought I was ok. She stopped long enough to ask if I was bleeding and when I said no, I'll be fine, she just drove off. So now I'm in a lot of pain and, even worse, I'm gonna have to file a stupid police report and insurance claim.

Ouch! That sucks kymess! Did you get her license plate or anything? I'd advise to file that claim fast. In my experience ICBC almost always sides with the first claimant 'cause you know, bias.

So here's the deal. It doesn't look like I'll be going to Sasquatch this year due to house-buying related poor timing. The house we've got a conditional offer in on is scheduled to be completed, and thus we can take possession, at the end of May/start of June. This means we'll likely be busy packing/moving/signing about a million forms/etc during Sasquatch. Add to that the fact that the trip (not incl ticket) isn't exactly wallet-friendly even if I PB&J my way through 4 days.

That said, if this whole thing falls through, I may just make the trip as a mini stress-induced sabbatical.

Sadly, at the end of the day, I'm more concerned with doing everything I can to get this house than I am with going to a sweet sweet music festival. When did I turn into a grown-up?

Yea, I had the forethought to jot her plate number down as she drove away even though at the time I didn't think anything would come of it. But now I'm in extreme pain in my neck, shoulder and upper back. And it's a stressful day at work which isn't helping matters.

I was hoping to call during my shift but that's looking unlikely with how busy it is so I'll have to do it during the Oscars. Pretty sure she won't be filing anything though; I think this falls under the "hit and run" category.
