Sorry about the promotion!

I go with my husband every year. It is basically our Christmas, it is the one real vacation we take all year and really look forward to it. We went for the first time before we were married and all the other times we have been. You definitely get to know a person a lot better once you are all exhausted and crazy by the end of the festival.

I once went to a festival with a girl that I was dating for about 4 months and was kind of on the fence about it being a real long term thing.

It was an awful experience, we broke up right afterwards.

I’ve gone with my boyfriend all of the five times I’ve gone. The first one was when we had just started dating (about 4 months) and it ended up being this horrible thing with hospitals and emergency hotel stays and him missing Beastie Boys and still it only made us realize that we made an awesome team.

One of the huge reasons we got together was music (he was in a local rock band, I was a local rock fiend) and so it just seemed like a natural progression of our relationship to go see two solid days of music together.

But I do think that it’s like any other traveling with anybody. You have to not get angry with each other about silly little things and even if everything isn’t perfect don’t stress out. Things have a way of working out (as he reminds me every time we invariably miss the first ferry).
