I found this cordless flat iron after a quick googling, but it seems to get widely mixed reviews:

Only 5 bucks though...

Maaaan I really need to be able to use a straightener (my hair does nor air dry well) but I'm too cheap to go buy a butane one. What was the consensus on there being outlets at the showers (I feel like I may have already asked this). I also do have a "power pack" to jump dead batteries and shit, but its not powerful enough to properly heat a straightener. Maybe if I got a mini one?

Why am I such a girl all of a sudden. Fuck.

What's a power pack? If it's the same thing as a power inverter, disregard what I'm about to say. If not: I've taken a power inverter that plugs into the cigarette lighter area on my car to other fests in the pas and it's always worked great. Since straighteners don't use that many watts of electricity (my chi straightener uses 35 I think), a power inverter is perfect.

This one is only $16 though Amazon and is 150w:

The power thingie is this big pack you charge at home and can jump a car battery 3 times before needing to be recharged (I leave my lights on a lot...). It has an outlet to plug stuff into as well, but it only got my straightened mildly warm :/

I'm going to check out London drugs today.

I'll also check out getting an inverter, though I'm thinking my chi is too much of a beast.

Ohhh okay I know what those things are. Yeah, I always go with a power inverter. What kind of Chi do you have? They really do make the best straighteners in my opinion. Check out the wattage, I think you'd be surprised. For some reasons straighteners just don't use that much!

I bought mine 8 years ago (and it still works perfectly!), but maybe since mine is a way older version it needs more juice?

Ladies, have you ever heard of the "rotating seed protocol"?

Maybe, I'm not really sure (about the juice). I've had mine for about seven or eight years as well but I know there were bigger ones that probably use more power out there when I bought mine. I love Chi's, they work like champs! The fact that you've had yours longer than I've had mine and both of ours still work wonderfully is a good testament to them!

My sister went to some naturopathic doctor who said all women should be on this "rotating seed protocol" for hormone regulation. Now I am not a hippie at all. I generally only try anything if I can read actual scientific journal articles that show that something is actually effective - but I Dr. Garbanzoure consuming a bunch of seeds is likely healthy either way.

From the internets:

My concern is that if everyone does it and links it to the lunar cycle, women will all be PMSing at the same time. Frightening.

Hmmm, sounds like that would just be healthy anyway.

My ex worked at a tea shop and somehow all her co-workers managed to all sync up. I went to visit her at work one day and asked how it was going. She replied "Pretty shitty, we're all PMSing, I think one of us is going to turn up dead by the end of the day".
