Hi first post and first timer at Sasquatch I've read this whole thread and am still confused on the bringing in a bag of stuff topic. I understand about staying hydrated and saving money on food, but I also want to spend a good portion of my time up front in the pits. I'm having a hard time imagining a pit full of people wearing backpacks, so I'm wondering how that situation is resolved. Do the people in the pits just have to deal with not bringing anything in? Are you shit outta luck if you don't have any friends to leave your bag with? Thanks!

Well, after spending Sunday at the front of the main stage from noon-11PM, I noticed a lot of people with bookbags. Here's 2 options I usually use:
1. If you have a friend bringing a bookbag in that plans to do more hanging on the hill, etc., try to persuade them to hold a few items for you. 2. Have big pockets on your pants. (Avoid trail mix with chocolate. Probably obvious, but I learned the hart way.) I kinda just held a water bottle all day and stuffed a couple bags with peanut butter sandwiches and trail mix in my pockets for the 11 hour stay at the front. Also, the water you can fill your bottle with for free inside the festival grounds is actually pretty damn cold and pretty damn tasty.

I always bring a small bag and then just put it down at my feet if I am up front.

Yeah you carry your bag. And I carry mine. Remember the snacks? Where they came from? My backpack.

Keep an eye on your shit if you bring a bag. Last year a dude tried walking off with my backpack during Pavement.

I just noticed that Sasquatch DOES offer a shuttle service from SEATAC to the Gorge. I have no idea how much it costs, and I'm really surprised that if they do offer it, they don't promote it anywhere.

im sure other people will disagree with this but I almost always bring my bag in and just leave it on the hill, whether or not my friends are going to be there. I bring a shitty bag and all that's really in it is some snacks and water, not exactly a big loss if it gets stolen.

No man I'm with you on this one. I left my bag unattended for hours last year, it was always right where I left it. I agree that it could get stolen, but I never bring anything of value into the venue anyways, so it doesn't really matter. If they really want my bun-wiches and spf 60, all power to them.
