Depends how much you are willing to pay, and how sketchy you look. I'd do it, but I'm anti-underage drinking. Especially when that shit is available in grocery stores.

Just a regular music lover from Canada who's not used to being underage. I don't understand what you mean about grocery stores though?

i think the grocery store note was just related to his morals regarding underage drinking. there's a gas station right by the gorge that we always buy alcohol at if we can't fit enough in the car at the beginning. if you went there' i can't imagine many people turning you down. i'd buy your beer if i was there. i'm sure a lot of people feel the same if you want beer in the venue...well, frankly, you don't. it's way too expensive. if you're caught drinking without a 21+ wristband you could get in some trouble but if someone buys you some in the venue just be subtle about it

Awesome man. Thanks for the tips. I wasn't aware of the 21 wrist band

If the heat is anything like it was last year then I will likely opt to remain sober during the festival and save the drinking for the campground. Takes way too much energy out of me to try and maintain a buzz all day with that sun blazing down the whole time.

if anybody 18+ from Canada asks me to buy them alcohol I'll gladly oblige. But I'm not going to go out of my way to do it.

Yeah, I was super subtle about it last year and was kicked out, so as pathetic as this might sound, I'd say get all your drinking done before heading into the festival, though it'll be one fucking hard day in the sun if you try that.

I think I only really "drank at the festival" the first day. Maybe a beer or two the other days, but nothing crazy. Water is your friend, and available for free. Bring an empty bottle, and save yourself some money.

Sorry, the grocery store thing is in relation to the fact that beer is available at grocery stores in the US. Whereas us Canucks have to trot off to a "Liquor Store", or "Liquor control board, or beer stores" for those unlucky few who live in provinces where liquor is not privatized.

You were kicked out of the festival for the day? Now I'm wondering if I should sneak alcohol in.

I think it would've been actually for the whole festival, but luckily, it was the last day I got kicked out. The security guards were even like "you're lucky that's all we're doing, by [whatever county the gorge is in] law we could've done [something way worse]" I couldn't remember all the details of that quote as I was extremely depressed about the fact I was getting kicked out.

Yeah, they sell ice at the little convenience store at the entrance of the campgrounds.
