Yoko - Was married to the boss, sat silently in the studio during the recording of the White Album and only opened her mouth when she saw a chance to sew the seeds of discontent, is considered by most to be responsible for the demise of the greatest band in the history of popular music.
Take it to the bank.

I've always thought how amazing a two-bit hussy like Yoko can creep into the mind of someone like Jon Lennon and break up the Beatles... The Beatles being exactly like a close knit band of brothers with absolutely no dissent amongst themselves before that.

Anyone who has been in a band for a period of time knows that there are always a million reasons to break up, and only a few reasons to stay together. Add fame, drugs, power, drugs, money, women, drugs, and drugs into the mix and it's probably damn near impossible. Hence...

Our campsite flag is a big awesome Phoenix! First time we've had a flag. Also scored solar string lights, butterflies and dragonflies. HG if you find our campsite you can help me put the FU in fun!

Jealous of your campsite flag. Mine is just a custom printed pillowcase that says "will fuck for sex" and it's not very big But really, what can we fly from a smart car?

In the Beatles' case, the problem was 75% Yoko Ono, 24% Paul McCartney and 1% all those other things. The power, drugs and money only made the Beatles better over the course of the 1960's. Their power was undeniable and unstoppable; completely out of their hands. The money provided them with the necessary means to indulge their experimental tendencies (which resulted from their time spent in India and, yes, their experimentation with marijuana and then LSD) and to spend as much time in the studio as they needed to. Additional time spent in the studio yielded Revolver and most importantly Sgt. Pepper. The Beatles, aka the White Album, is the sound of the Beatles as a group fracturing and disintegrating. Many of their best songs are on that record, but most of them were recorded with no more than one or at the most two of the Beatles in the room. The other Beatles refused to work with or around Yoko. Ono's bullshit aesthetic began bleeding into Lennon's work immediately, and had destroyed it by the time the Let it Be sessions commenced.
And there is no exchange rate for stupid jokes that take the place of valid points.

I have to think if Brian Epstein didn't die there would have been at least a couple more Beatles albums. His death and the subsequent disagreement between Macca and the other three over management can't be understated.
Yoko gets far too much blame IMO. Of course she was a part of it but it is way too simplistic to just point the finger at her.
Add to the fact I think they were all just tired of being the Beatles.

Regardless of the finer points, I think everyone knows what you mean when you call someone 'Yoko'. It certainly isn't a reference to her humanitarian efforts.
