Top Right- Me and my boys arriving at Sasquatch last year. Their 1st one!!

Thanks, it's definitely one of my favorites. A guy who works at my girlfriend's tattoo shop did that one, his name is Kyle Carter. He kills it every time for sure.

I used to wonder why I couldn't wear the detachable cape that came with my Superman footie pajamas. Mom's explanation that I could get tangled in it and get choked to death while I slept wasn't good enough for me. I was really upset, but I got over it as I got older.
And so too will your children grow to understand that hanging out in the middle of 30,000 drunk and tripping adults, wandering through clouds of marijuana smoke and bracing themselves against punishing decibel levels in the hot, hot sun, is a game for grownups to play.
Babies don't like Sasquatch, they are babies.

I beg to differ, everyone there have been super respectful! High-fives everywhere, people just stopping to talk to them, hell last year they had dozens of people donating glowsticks to them because they were trying to build "the world's biggest glow skipping rope" haha. You may have even seen it on the hill during Tenacious D, there were a bunch of us all trying to double dutch. They were a hit! Sounds to me that the experience you described is the experience you created.
Anyways, I'd prefer to raise my kids listening and seeing good music rather than the shit tweens listen too these days. I love that last year my 9 year old was going nuts because he got to see his favorite artist, St. Vincent. No better feeling than sharing a musical moment with your kid while their raging to their favorite band!!
When they do walk by someone passed out or right messed up they just laugh and look at me and say "why do people do that to themselves, their gonna miss the show and not remember the music". Smart kids!
Put it this way, my kids will be going to Sasquatch without me one day and I will have complete trust in them because they have now been taught that it is possible to go to festivals sober and safely and have fun, that's all I can do as a parent. They've seen me have a few beers and know you can have some drinks and have fun without going over board, but if they do choose to try or do other things as they get older than I can still feel confident I have done my best as a parent.
Sasquatch is for everyone and the experience you receive is yours for the making my friend.
