I was going to do Coachella this year, but I had SOOO many issues getting tickets, that I decided not to go.. I'll probably go one year, but not until they realize they should probably sell the camping with the tickets.
Anyways... I'm super happy to be here, and I can't wait to meet some cool people and have a wicked awesome time. I'm not even sad about Coachella at all.

Greetings everyone! I too am in the same vote as many others. I've been a devote Coachella attendee for the last 6 years. But when this years line-up was announced last week, I was underwhelmed to say the least. For the first time since 2005, the line-up hardly seems worth sacrificing my money and time off work for. So this year I'm hoping to venture out and try something new; I'm looking forward to a new experience. Hopefully I'll see you all in May.

Sasquatch campgrounds are loud the first night. Then it starts to taper off. Not that bad compared to most festivals. Most of time there are people that walk around and make you turn off music around 4.. Squatch campground is very family for a 30k fest..
k guys this post right here is the last post in this thread. Seriously - no more posts. Don't do it. This is not funny or interesting or engaging, this guy is a waste of time.

I too am a former coachella attendee from 2006 to 2009. I skipped last years in favor of Sasquatch and man am I glad I did. Sasquatch is sooo much more relaxed and the people are much friendlier. I believe this is due to the fact that the festival is in the NW not SoCal. Also, if you need your EDM fix which was the main attraction for me to last years Sasquatch... Boys Noize, SMD, Booka Shade, Z trip, Deadmau5, certainly got the job done for me. I am a little bummed about not being able to catch Leftfield and the redo of the Presets at this years coachella but otherwise here is hoping that Sasquatch brings it like last year.

Well I'll tell you what. Just reading post around this board I can tell you right away, people seem a lot, and I mean a lot, nicer on here than there. That's not to say that a board completely represents the festival itself, but I do think it somewhat shows the mentality of the types of people that attend.
I am really glad to hear that Sasquatch has stepped up there edm bookings. Although I am not expecting the heavy duty gets that Golden Voice does, it's nice to see that I won't have severe whiplash between the two events.
Edit: I should state that I love Coachella. I think it's an amazing festival on a great piece of land. Yes, it can be hotter than hell but by the time the sun is starting to set, it becomes perfect. They also (as you guys are well aware of) tend to get the best lineups year in and year out. But lineups aren't everything...
I'm glad I'm not the only one to feel that this board is a lot friendlier than Coachella's. I'm still contemplating changing my plans and going to Sasquatch instead. I've never been to either and I really want my first music festival to be a great experience and though I shouldn't allow a message board to change my plans completely I do feel that this does reflect on the mentality of the Sasquatch. Sasquatch is definitely on my mind right now...
