heading alone..good idea/bad idea? any suggestions

how do, heading over from ireland and some mates have backed out so it looks like i'm going it alone.. anyone else in a similar situation?it would feel weird drinking alone all day!

Just make friends with your neighbours, and hopefully you will be beside some like minded folk. I found that last year, the large majority of people were at the very least friendly and some were outgoing to make sure you had a good time.

made it last year and had a ball but was with friends. Just a bit weirded out about camping on my own etc. Thankfully everyone was super friendly and had great craic. Cheers for the heads up.. fingers crossed i am camping beside some nice people this year! thanks!

nice one peatrick..just hope i get camping beside some nice people this year! I don't really do the whole college whoo woo/high five thing..so just hoping to be beside some music mad people who are up for a laugh!thanks!

Make a shirt that says something like "Came from Ireland, traveling alone." You will make a fuckton of friends. Everyone will want to buy you a beer.

well warm guinness is not the best. ever had poitin? Such a great line up! Have great memories of sitting at that top bar way over the main stage.. Bring it on peatrick!

As others have said; if you're gonna be alone anywhere in the world a music fesitval is probably the best place to do it. We met so many people last year that we barely hung out in our group of friends that we'd gone there with anyways.

So camp next to some good cool people (stick to the Canadians), and you'll have a blast. Hell, bring your irish accent by my campsite and i"ll pick up the girls you can't take care of
