Vancouver Island to The Gorge - Thurs or Fri?

I've had plenty of experience driving down to Sasquatch, but not since they added the Friday night show. Need to be settled and into the grounds before 6 pm Friday to see they shows I want.

Does anyone from the island have experience trying to make it in time leaving Friday morning. Earliest Coho Ferry is 630 AM. Ideally we would stop for groceries and set up our tent before heading in, so it looks like we would be cutting it close.

Do we need to leave Thursday night? Anyone tried?

Scratch that, Coho doesn't leave that early right now. Would be 7am ferry to Tsawwassen.

With the ferry, border and stopping to pick stuff up I've never gotten there before 7 or 8. I would really advise leaving on Thursday night, maybe stopping to sleep on the way? You don't want to miss the ferry or have a long wait at the border and miss out on shows.

Hey Tesla if you are in fact going down on Friday I live in Victoria and would love to split on the journey with you. I have to play a show Thursday night so I can't leave until that 7 am ferry. I have done the research, by Greyhound I would make it to Quincy Washington (8 miles from Sasq) by 7:30 pm....so I think making it there for 6 would be reasonable? Cars are significantly quicker than greyhounds after all.
