Man, renting a car and not getting insurance is one of the most unsettling things I've ever done.

Well it all depends on your situation.
My credit cards provide some insurance. My regular vehicle insurance also covers me in a rental car with the same coverage (I pay a little extra for this, about $30 / year or so). so I just bring my pink card with me when I travel and decline everything at the rental car agency. I'm definitely still insured, just not paying the rental car company's fees to get there.

Yeah that does sound pricey. Even though I'm old balls, my car rental for 7 days at Coachella is only costing me a little over $200.

I should have looked into whether I'd be covered otherwise, then I wouldn't have almost been shitting my pants during my drives through Seattle/Portland/to and from the Gorge.

Yup, splitting it 3 ways with friends! Hopefully a hot babe wants to ride along so we can split it 4 ways! So it will turn out pretty cheap. Anyone have any idea of how much gas would cost from Van to Gorge? Just planning my budget here
