 Greyhound question!
« Thread Started on May 16, 2011, 10:02pm »

Dear Greyhounders,

This will be my first time going to Sasquatch; I'm heading down with a couple friends by Greyhound.
My question is, how do people get from Quincy, WA to the Gorge? There appears to be no taxi or bus service in this small town and the Gorge is 12 miles away from the bus station. I Dr. Garbanzoure there must be some way of getting there (aside from hitchhiking?), so I'm wondering how people have gotten there in the past.

Hitchhiking...

Other than that, there is the Sasquatch shuttle from SEATAC, but I assume you already have your greyhound tickets. http://www.gorgecamping.com/

Yeah I do have my tickets already. I was pretty much expecting to have to hitch hike, just seeing if there was another way. Thanks though

It's pretty crazy that that is the only option, but you won't have a problem getting a ride into the site from there.

Our friend's car broke down about 10 minutes outside of the Gorge last year. He was able to hitch a ride the rest of the way no problem. You should be good!

The supermarket carpark in Quincy is usually full of people heading to the Gorge. Just go and ask someone for a ride. Shouldn't be a problem.
Offer a cold beer or two to the occupants and you'l be on your way.

Also, I've mentioned this a couple times here before, but...

Gave this dude from New Zealand a ride back to Seattle. He got there through Greyhound though. Basically, the bus driver to Quincy asked if everyone on the bus was going to Sasquatch. After a resounding "YES!", apparently the bus driver then proceeded to give them a ride to the amphitheater. So hope for that?

Next year I am going to do this every morning and charge each person a beer. Then I'll drink all of it in forty minutes, go inside to the festival, and already have a bunch of friends. I am a genius.
